The early silent matches feature golden girls of the 50s and early 60s like Vivian Vachon and Joyce Grable. Grable is involved in one of the greatest stories in wrestling: she was so popular that when she got married and retired form the business, manager and promoter Fabulous Moolah created a new Joyce Grable!
In the later matches, you’ll see what wrestling was becoming in the 70s, as well as what it was to become in the 80’s: much more outrageous, fast-paced, and glamorous. Blonde bombshell Wendy Richter, who went on to win the first WWF Women’s Title, is on here, as are Early Dawn and Marie LaVerne. Early Dawn was an Amazonian brunette with fists of fury, while petite brunette Marie LaVerne felled her and many other large opponents with deadly body scissors, arm locks, and leg locks.
